In November, I pull out gratitude and dust it off. It’s the best tool I’ve found for increasing my awareness of the good, especially amid the challenging. When I practice gratitude – finding four things I can give thanks for RIGHT NOW and RIGHT HERE – I learn to keep a sharp eye for goodness, loving kindness, guidance and provision.
Why this works:
Since the Lord is my shepherd (involved and not distant), I live, not in a state of want, but in provision. I have everything I need. Under his care, provision is the norm, because his shepherding is GOOD.
Where the focus goes, the energy flows…
If I look at anxiety, I become anxious. If I look at the character and quality of my Shepherd and His care, I relax. I’m in safe hands.
